Bitter cold temperatures last month, particularly in Northwest Indiana, and no extra leap year day combined to chill February revenue at the state’s 13 commercial casinos.
Data released Wednesday by the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) show statewide casino win — or revenue after paying successful bettors — dropped to $190 million in February, down 4.9% compared to February 2024, when only 12 Indiana casinos were in business.
Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana once again led the way as the state’s highest earning gaming destination for a 40th consecutive month with $34.4 million in February win, or slightly more than 18% of the state’s total.
Though that was down 9.3% compared to Hard Rock’s $37.9 million in February 2024 win, according to the IGC.
