Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker said Monday that she feels the possibility of a casino coming to the city is now a matter of when, not if.
At her annual appearance at Rotary Club of Fort Wayne’s weekly meeting, she talked about achievements from last year and answered questions from Rotarians, including about the casino. Fort Wayne isn’t the only community that wants a casino, she said.
“Eight or nine months ago, no community would have ever used the curse word ‘casino,’” she said. “Last Thursday when they were taking a vote, there were at least three communities that were down at the Statehouse fighting to get the casino in their community.”
