Flutter Entertainment will close Sky Bet’s Malta operation less than 12 months after relocating its commercial headquarters from the UK, NEXT.io can exclusively reveal.
As a result, Sky Bet roles currently based on the island are expected to be transferred to Gibraltar, where sister brand Sky Gaming is already headquartered.
The decision marks a reversal of a high-profile relocation undertaken in November 2025, which was expected to save Flutter tens of millions of pounds annually.
The move is a result of the major restructuring of Flutter’s UK & Ireland business, which the operator confirmed on 20 October will put 1,400 roles at risk of redundancy.
