The UK Gambling Commission has published details of Evolution’s £4.75m [$6.32m] license review settlement after the regulator found it had supplied online games to unlicensed operators.
Detailing the settlement, the Commission found Evolution games appeared on six websites that were available in the UK but did not hold the relevant license. The regulator did not name the sites in question but did confirm they were run by two operators.
During the investigation, the Commission raised concerns over Evolution’s risk assessment for potential money laundering and terrorist financing. It said this was not effective enough to flag that two operators it conducted business with were supplying its games to UK players without holding a license.
