Entain has so far protected team jobs in Brazil as other firms across the sector continue to lay off staff, according to head of Latin America Antonio Forjaz.
Justice Luiz Fux, rapporteur of the cases before Brazil’s Supreme Court (STF), has said he will leave the decision on Provisional Measure (MP) 1.394 until after the second round of the elections on 25 October.
While the ANJL and the IBJR call for the measure’s effects to be suspended, and companies across the sector are forced to lay off staff because of the ban, Entain says it has managed, for now, to keep its team’s jobs in Brazil intact.
