After a down June, the three Detroit commercial casinos bounced back in July with an impressive revenue total. Last month, the MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown combined for $111.6 million in revenue.
Not only was that a 9.6% jump from the $101.8 million in June, but it was also a year-over-year improvement of 5.3% from July 2025’s $106.0 million.
Crossing the $110 million mark in July hasn’t been an easy accomplishment for the Detroit casinos. This marks the first time in five years the trio have done that.
The last time came in 2021, as the casinos were finally starting to emerge from capacity limitations caused by the COIVD-19 pandemic.
