The Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians denies reports that it has installed slot machines in its modular buildings at the site where it hopes to develop a casino resort complex and tribal housing.
The tribe did announce, however, plans to open a small, temporary preview casino – targeted for January.
“The tribe plans to operate a limited number of Class II gaming machines on its sovereign tribal land, repurposing the existing modular buildings on site to serve as the casino,” the Scotts Valley tribe said in a statement…
The site is 160.33 acres along Interstate 80 at the Highway 37 connector in Vallejo.
