The Gambling Authority of Denmark, Spillemyndigheden, has launched consultations into the new supplier license certification process coming up in 2025.

Relevant shareholders, particularly betting and igaming providers, are free to submit their responses until 19 August through a specially designated submission form on Spillemyndigheden’s website.

According to the regulator, the updated system will ensure that more robust market security and player protection standards are in place in Denmark – by providing a clearer understanding of the requirements license holders and game suppliers should abide by.

One of the key changes to the list of rules evens out the responsibilities shared between license holders and game suppliers by requiring the latter to have their own license and file reports with Spillemyndigheden.
