Denmark sees gambling revenue uptick in March

Spillemyndigheden, the Gambling Authority of Denmark, has reported a 1.4% increase in total gambling expenditure for March 2025, as online casino activity continues to lead the market.

Revenue from online casino operations rose by 6.4% compared to March 2024, maintaining the positive growth trend observed in previous months.

A shift in consumer behaviour towards digital platforms contributed to declines in revenue from betting, gaming machines, and land-based casinos, while online casino activity continued to expand.

The regulator introduced land-based bingo as an independent reporting category in March 2025. New regulations, which came into effect on 1 January 2025, enabled licensed operators to offer commercial bingo services under Denmark’s expanded regulatory framework.
