Mohegan Sun has closed four restaurants in its Earth food court in preparation for a new incoming concept, the casino confirmed this week.
Mezze Mediterranean, Jasper White’s Summer Shack Express, Southside (with cheesesteaks and sub sandwiches) and The Original SoupMan are the tenants that have closed, Mohegan spokeperson Charisse Huff said in an email. The casino location of Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, which opened in 2009, remains open.
“We have an exciting new restaurant coming in Spring 2024,” Huff said, adding that more details would be shared at a later date.
The Uncasville resort casino currently has 38 restaurants and bars, ranging from quick-service chains like Chick-fil-A, Jersey Mike’s and Krispy Kreme to upscale options like BALLO Italian, TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge, Todd English’s Tuscany and Michael Jordan’s Steak House.
