The latest entry in the ongoing feud between the Culinary Union and Station Casinos will play out in a federal courtroom this week.

A federal administrative judge will hear the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) complaint against Station Casinos’ parent company alleging layoffs were used to undermine unionization efforts during the pandemic.

The NLRB filed the complaint in 2021 accusing Station Casinos of engaging in unilateral actions, like layoffs, terminations and rehirings, without bargaining with employee unions.

“Station Casinos allegedly implemented these actions in a selective and discriminatory manner that was calculated to dilute union support among their employees,” the Labor Board said in a news release at the time.
