The government of Colombia has appointed Roger Carrillo Campo as new President of national gambling authority Coljuegos. The appointment was confirmed by the Ministry of Finance, which oversees Coljuegos’ management and oversight of both online and land-based gaming in Colombia.
A qualified economist from Universidad Autonoma de Colombia (UAC), Carrillo Campo has held senior civil service positions within the Bogota Council, Colombia’s Social Security Institute, and the General Auditor’s Office.
Carrillo Campo has prior experience of Colombian gambling, having recently served as public policy and planning advisor for Coljuegos.
Appointed effective immediately as new President of Coljuegos, Carrillo Campo will replace César Augusto Valencia, who departed the regulator in mid-December citing “strictly personal issues.”
