The Vallejo City Council will get an update Tuesday on the proposed $700 million Scotts Valley Casino and also will consider whether to direct staffers to negotiate an agreement to provide services to tribal offices in the city.

The council is slated to get a presentation on the casino proposed to be built in Vallejo by the Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians, though no action is requested. The agreement, technically known as a memorandum of understanding, only concerns tribal offices under construction at 200 Columbus Parkway, not the casino.

The tribe broke ground on the temporary offices Sept. 18 and seeks to formalize an agreement for the city to provide water, police and fire services for the offices.
