The Hard Rock Casino Tejon is now celebrating a new milestone. The casino held a groundbreaking event early Wednesday morning marking the second phase of the project that will help turn the Kern County casino into a “full-service resort and entertainment destination.”
The development, organizers with the casino said, stems from an investment totaling more than $725 million to help “transform the property.”
Per a Wednesday afternoon press release from the Hard Rock, tribal leaders, Hard Rock executives, elected officials, community leaders and more gathered on the property to kick-start the expansion’s construction.
The casino says the addition will add a 406-room hotel, an expanded gaming area, new dining and entertainment options, convention and meeting spaces, “resort-style” pools and a new spa which is expected to open the summer of 2028.
