Sky River Casino in Elk Grove just celebrated its first anniversary, and now the tribe that owns the property is beginning to make recurring payments to the city.

In total, the Wilton Rancheria, the tribe behind the Sky River Casino, is set to give the city of Elk Grove nearly $132 million. Of that $132 million, a total of $117 million will be paid in three-month increments over the next 20 years.

On behalf of the Wilton Rancheria, Sky River Casino President Chris Gibase gave a $1 million check to the city during Wednesday night’s Elk Grove City Council meeting. Gibase said that was the first recurring payment given to the city from the tribe.
