Big changes are coming to Harry Reid International Airport over the next several years, with airport planners preparing to stage a multibillion-dollar construction program while keeping the airport operating through a stretch of major events and continued visitor growth.
Reid, the nation’s eighth busiest airport, also will be competing with other major U.S. airports for federal funding as billions of dollars in airport projects move forward across the country.
It had been about six months since Clark County Department of Aviation planners have updated the Clark County Commission on the airport modernization project. There’s no set timeline for the work and a cost estimate likely won’t come until next year.
