A $3 million boost is coming to NJ Transit, thanks to a new three-year partnership with an online sports betting company.

The advertising deal, announced at the Secaucus Junction train station, adds the Jersey City-based online sports betting company’s name, BetMGM, to the name of the Meadowlands Rail Line, along with digital and print advertisements throughout the Secaucus station. The rail route will now be known as the BetMGM Meadowlands Rail Line until the partnership ends.

Matthew Prevost, chief revenue officer of BetMGM, said attaching the company’s name to the rail line that brings people to the Meadowlands racetrack and MetLife Stadium, which hosts New York Jets and Giants games along with other concerts and events, was a unique opportunity.
