MGM Resorts International has named longtime executive Niklas Rytterstrom president and chief operating officer of Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, the company said Monday.
Rytterstrom will oversee the casino’s daily operations and strategic direction, focused on continued employee engagement, guest service and community relations, the company said in a statement.
Rytterstrom succeeds Travis Lunn, who recently announced his return to Las Vegas to become president and COO of Mandalay Bay and Luxor, both owned by MGM Resorts.
“Nik has a long history with MGM Resorts and brings a wealth of operational experience and industry knowledge to the property and Atlantic City,” said Steve Zanella, president of MGM Resorts operations. “Nik’s strong leadership skills and strategic vision will continue to differentiate Borgata in a competitive landscape and enhance its position as a market leader.”
