In the early 2000s, celebrity chef restaurants began popping up all over Atlantic City casinos.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa opened several around 2006, with many “Iron Chef” winners, along with Caesars Atlantic City and other properties.
When the former Revel Casino Hotel opened in 2012, it followed suit until almost every casino in town boasted a restaurant with a well-known chef.
And we’re talking big name chefs like Wolfgang Puck, Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri, all of whom had successful shows on the Food Network.
These chefs had reached rock star status for foodies and even the casual dining customer. And the casinos, in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, wanted a piece of the action.
