The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority gave its approval Tuesday to improve three neighborhoods in the resort.
The projects intend to increase housing, employment and cultural opportunities in the Ducktown neighborhood, at the Sheraton hotel and in the Southeast Inlet neighborhood.
The agency’s review and consent were required before the plans are voted on by City Council at its Wednesday meeting.
“Today was truly a great day in the great city of Atlantic City as we show tremendous progress and interest in Atlantic City,” Mayor Marty Small Sr. said after the votes. “It shows how much momentum we have here, and we thank our colleagues at CRDA for their votes.”
