The city’s casino industry says it is ready to help deliver “tangible results on the ground” as it prepares to do battle with three new casinos in New York City in the coming years.
George Goldhoff, president of the Casino Association of New Jersey, and of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, issued a statement on behalf of the group this week in response to Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s expressions of concern about the impact New York casinos will have on Atlantic City.
“The Casino Association of New Jersey stands ready to be a full partner in this effort,” he said. “Atlantic City has reinvented itself before, with focused collaboration between government and industry. We can do it again and secure a bright, sustainable future for our city and our state.”
