The resort’s nine casinos saw a big decline in their operating profits in the first quarter of this year, down over 15% from a year earlier.
Figures released Thursday by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement show the casinos had a collective gross operating profit of nearly $132 million during January, February and March of this year.
Only two casinos saw their operating profit increase in the first quarter: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City rose 2.9% to just under $27 million, and Tropicana Atlantic City was up 7.1% to $13.3 million.
Bally’s Atlantic City was the only casino to report an operating loss for the quarter, nearly tripling its first-quarter 2024 loss to $6.6 million.
