Long defined by its iconic illuminated ball atop the building, Ocean Casino Resort announced Wednesday it has added a second, much larger sphere to the casino’s roof, claiming it will be a second entertainment venue to go along with its Ovation Hall concert space.
Alas, it was just the latest April Fools’ prank from the casino, which has proven fond of such mischief in years gone by.
Last year, the casino posted a digitally altered image that showed its name as “Oceans” on the side of the building, in a nod to the way many people mispronounce it.
The year before that, it created and posted a video purporting to show the iconic ball atop its angled roof rolling off the building and falling into the ocean.
