Construction of the Athletics’ $2 billion Las Vegas ballpark is still on track to be completed for the 2028 season, representatives from the A’s and its partner, Bally’s Corp., confirmed to the Las Vegas Stadium Authority on Thursday.
“There have been some challenges going out of the gate,” Nick Tomasino, senior vice president of development with Bally’s Corp., said at the board meeting. “However, we are very happy to say that we are close to being able to secure the financing.”
It comes after Bally’s introduced revised plans for its entertainment district on the 35-acre site earlier this week and questions about the corporation’s finances have been raised.
