Pascua Yaqui Tribal Council members and community leaders came together on Monday to witness the first lighting of the iconic dome at Casino Del Sol, Vahi Taa’am.
The inaugural lighting of the dome celebrated a major construction achievement for the Tribe’s new casino development, a project that started in January 2025. The name “Vahi Taa’am” translates to “Three Suns” in Yoeme, symbolizing the Tribe’s third casino property and a bright future.
The casino, 1055 W. Grant Road near Interstate 10, is set to open on Nov. 11. It will feature a 52,334-square-foot gaming floor, 928 slot machines, 21 table games, and multiple dining options, including a main restaurant. A multi-level parking garage will also be available for guests.
