Aristocrat Leisure has sold mobile gaming business Plarium Global for $US820 million as it returns its focus to making money from poker machines and casino-style online games.
Swedish mobile gaming company Modern Times Group has bought the owner of the popular role-playing game RAID: Shadow Legends for an upfront $US620 million. Aristocrat could receive a further $US200 million from the deal subject to it meeting future financial targets.
Aristocrat told the ASX it has separately written down the value of its other free-to-play mobile games business, Big Fish Games, by $US110 million. On Wednesday, it is due to release its financial results for the year ending September 30.
