The province of San Juan in Argentina has passed a bill to regulate online gambling in the region.
The main purposes of the regulation for online gambling are to deal with a number of issues, for example combatting illegal gambling, promoting responsible gambling, fighting fraud, protecting those under the age of 18 and preventing gambling addiction.
The legislation itself covers a wide range of online gambling in many different forms, such as draws, raffles, bets and it also applies no matter the means by which the outcome occurs, whether that is luck, skill or even both.
Within the release from the Chamber of Deputies of San Juan, it also notes that it considers illegal gambling to be online gambling which is carried out by those who do not have the authorisation to carry out online gambling and intend to do so.
