With a glamorous opening party, the Swiss Casinos Group officially opened the new Swiss Casino Winterthur on December 12, 2025. The evening marked an important moment for the casino industry in Switzerland as well as for the city of Winterthur, which gains another attractive leisure offer with the new location.
The festive highlight of the evening was the official ribbon cut, carried out by Hans-Ueli Rihs, majority shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Casinos, Michael Künzle, Mayor of Winterthur, Marcel Tobler, CEO of Swiss Casinos, and Daniel Kullmann, Director of Swiss Casino Winterthur.
With the symbolic cutting of the ribbon, they gave the go-ahead for casino operations at the new location and emphasized the importance of the project for the city, the entire region and the Swiss Casinos Group in their speeches.
