Boyd Gaming Corporation Wednesday announced donations of more than $200,000 to 186 U.S. non-profit organizations during its 2023 Wreaths of Hope and Trees of Hope competitions.

The non-profits, spanning 11 states, participated in the holiday competition by decorating wreaths or trees in the spirit of their organization’s mission. Prizes were determined by votes from Boyd Gaming customers who voted for their favorite charities online and in-person during the holiday season.

The 2023 national prize pool was the largest in the 16-year history of the contest.

Winners include St.  Mary Parish/United Way through the Amelia Belle Casino in Louisiana; the Gulf Coast Center for Non-Violence through the IP Casino Resort in Mississippi; and Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada through the Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa in Nevada.

Trees of Hope debuted in 2007 at Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel in Louisiana. Since then, the program has expanded to 26 Boyd Gaming properties in Nevada, California, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, and Mississippi. To date, Boyd has awarded nearly $1.5 million to non-profit organizations through Wreaths of Hope and Trees of Hope.
