Boyd Gaming has set March 25 as the opening of the Cadence Crossing in east Henderson, the newest Las Vegas area casino opening. The property will open at noon for the public at 920 N. Boulder Highway; prior to that, VIPs will be given a tour and partake in ribbon-cutting ceremonies.

During its fourth-quarter earnings call in early February, Boyd said the property would open in March without giving a date.

The casino is located in the Cadence master plan that ranked third in the nation in 2025 for the number of new home sales. It replaces Boyd Gaming’s Jokers Wild Casino that remained open during the construction of the new facility. It was previously called the Cattle Baron and changed to Jokers Wild when Boyd bought and renovated the casino and reopened it in 1993.

While the 24,000-square-foot Jokers Wild will feature 450 slot machines, it won’t have table games initially. Several food and beverage outlets will serve the surrounding neighborhoods.

Boyd’s last casino project in Las Vegas was the former Stardust on the Strip, sold in 2013 to Malaysian-based Genting that opened it as Resorts World Las Vegas in 2021.
