Boyd Gaming Corporation announced Monday that it has appointed a former Barclays executive to its board of directors.
Michael Hartmeier is the former group head of lodging, gaming, and leisure investment banking for Barclays. He previously served as group head for hospitality and gaming for both Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse First Boston.
During his 25-year career in investment banking, Hartmeier completed more than $125 billion in financing and advisory assignments, including work for numerous gaming companies.
Hartmeier currently serves on the board of directors for DiamondRock Hospitality Company, a self-advised real estate investment trust with a portfolio of premium hotels and resorts nationwide. Hartmeier previously served on the board of directors for regional casino operator Full House Resorts, Inc.
Hartmeier received his master’s of business administration from the Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics/business from UCLA. While at UCLA, he was awarded the Pacific 10 Conference medal.
Hartmeier is a CPA who began his career as an auditor at Price Waterhouse.
