Booming Games announced Wednesday that they’ve secured a B2B license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), opening the door for the company’s entry into North American markets.

Booming Games delivers a portfolio of slot games to the igaming market. Last November, the company announced a partnership with football superstar Ronaldinho Gaúcho to develop a series of games featuring Gaúcho’s image.

“The full Ontario B2B gaming license allows us to expand in the fast-growing Canadian market. Ontario is the next milestone in our strategy of expanding in regulated markets after successfully entering Spain, Colombia, The Netherlands, and Denmark in 2023,” said Frederik Niehusen, chief commercial officer at Booming Games.

The company can now distribute its content to licensed gambling operators in Ontario. Its titles include TNT Bonanza, Cash Pig, Buffalo Hold and Win, and the Wild Wings of Phoenix.

Also on the online-casino front, Design Works Gaming (DWG) has secured an Ontario license. DWG is looking to introduce its LuckyTap slot titles to players in the province.

Online casino is by far the dominant segment in the province’s igaming market, coming up on its second full year of existence.

In the FY 23-24 Q3 market-performance report (Oct. 1 -Dec. 31) released by iGaming Ontario, casino games (slots, live and computer-based games, and peer-to-peer bingo) generated 79 percent of total wagers (nearly $13.7 billion) and 71 percent of gaming revenue ($471 million).
