The planned Betting on Sports America conference, scheduled for the end of April in New Jersey, has been postponed by show’s producers until December due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
SBC Events said in a statement Tuesday the developing “global situation” surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak necessitated the change. The event will be held on Dec. 1-3 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey.
The company said all tickets will be transferred to the new date automatically. Delegates should contact SBC Events with any questions.
“While the global COVID-19 situation evolves and the official advice and restrictions concerning travel and public gatherings continue to change, we feel we have no alternative but to move Betting on Sports America to later in the year,” SBC Events said in a statement.
“The changing situation and the fact that an increasing number of industry organizations are introducing their own travel bans for staff, means that Betting on Sports America would have been severely impacted had we not made the decision to postpone it to the new dates in December,” the show producers said.

The dates for Betting on Sports Europe, being held at Stamford Bridge in London on June 2-4, remain in place while the global situation develops.
The conference was expected to have some 200 speakers discussing the state of the U.S. sports betting industry across 50 sessions, along with a trade show featuring more than 50 exhibitors.
