BetMGM Monday announced it’s partnering with Cheddar News to launch a weekly program examining the juxtaposition between sports betting and financial markets.
Cheddar Bets, slated to premiere Aug. 19 on the digital-first news network, will discuss the week’s sporting events through sports gaming’s impact on Wall Street.
“As BetMGM continues to invest in innovative sports betting content, we’ve found a great partner in Cheddar News,” said BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost in a statement. “Through Cheddar Bets we’ll provide informative and entertaining programming to engage new audiences.”
The partnership also establishes BetMGM as the exclusive sports betting partner of Cheddar News.
Airing Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. ET, “Cheddar Bets” will be broadcast from a custom-built BetMGM studio in New York. The program also will feature “behind-the-book” information from BetMGM’s oddsmakers.
“Cheddar News is focused on what’s next in the worlds of tech, science, innovation, and reaching the modern and always-online news consumer,” said Cheddar News General Manager Liam Roecklein in a statement. “Now, together in partnership with BetMGM, “Cheddar Bets” will dive deep into the world of sports betting and its effect on sports, technology, financial markets, regulation and more, all while highlighting the community that has changed the game and continues to drive the sports betting industry forward.”
Hosts and contributors for the weekly program have not yet been announced.
