BetMGM becomes AP’s provider of sports-betting odds and lines

BetMGM Thursday announced an agreement to become the official provider of sports odds for the Associated Press. BetMGM will provide odds and insights for all the AP’s global sports reports. BetMGM will provide odds and insights for all the AP’s global sports reports.

“It is a special opportunity for BetMGM to align with The Associated Press, a leading global news source that billions around the world rely on for the most up-to-date coverage,” said BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost in a statement. “Being a trusted resource within that forum is an important connection to expand our reach, and we look forward to providing content that enhances the organization’s coverage.”

Per the agreement, BetMGM’s odds will appear in AP’s daily sports odds fixtures, game previews and other sports stories where odds are mentioned. AP retains editorial control of all content.

“People want trustworthy sports betting information, and we are pleased to work with BetMGM to provide a dependable and credible reference point for our customers and audiences,” said AP Director of Global Text and Commercial Products Barry Bedlan.

BetMGM also has media partnerships with Yahoo (which was struck in 2020)  and The Athletic, owned by the New York Times). Other media partnerships with sports betting companies include  CBS Sports with SportsLine, DraftKings with Turners Sports, and The Ringer with FanDuel.

Newspaper ownership groups McClatchy and Gannet partner with Gambling.com for digital sports betting coverage.
