The NFL season is set to kick off tomorrow night with the Baltimore Ravens in Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. With all the sports-betting interest that comes with it, British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has rolled out PROLINE digital retail sportsbook accessible via all of its provincial lottery terminals beginning this week.

“PROLINE offers an updated and innovative sports-betting experience and is the pivotal next step for BCLC in offering exciting new sports products to our valued players,” said Dan Beebe, BCLC Chief Operating Officer.

BCLC’s Sports Action was shut down May 26 after 33 years, as the lottery corporation prepared for the launch of the new retail sportsbook.

Oddset 2-outcome, Oddset 3-outcome, money line, pointspread, totals and props, single-event betting, and dynamic odds, as well as the return of Toto, a popular game where the player predicts the winner of 13 games correctly for a big payout, will now be offered bettors at retail locations.

To bet, players need to download the new BCLC PROLINE app onto their mobile device, create digital bet slips in the app, and receive an app-generated QR code. They then take it to any lottery retail location where they receive a printed ticket.

Players can also go to the PROLINE website to create their bets on their laptop.

In a statement, BCLC said to expect more sports-betting related experiences to be announced in the coming months, as the NFL season picks up steam and the Vancouver Canucks’s NHL season starts up, including “enhanced betting experiences at B.C. bars and pubs and exciting new offerings at B.C. casinos around the province.”
