Bally’s Chicago Casino on Monday announced efforts to combat human trafficking by launching an anti-human trafficking employee training program.
In recognition of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, Bally’s Chicago paired the program launch with a “Give $5, Get $10” charitable contribution campaign benefitting the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation, in which customers got free play for donating to the non-profit organization in January.
“As part of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, we were pleased to launch our Chicago anti-human trafficking awareness program,” Bally’s Chicago Vice President of Community Engagement Monica Scott said in a statement. “Knowing that just one person can make a big impact, team members will use the variety of tools in their role to ensure trafficking is not present in our property and Bally’s will continue to encourage a culture of compliance with our internal reporting policies. With Bally’s Chicago’s launch of the program, we believe that the progressive initiative will help fight human trafficking in each community we serve.”
The training program educates employees in weekly sessions on how trafficking could be present in the surrounding community, trains team members on possible trafficking indicators they might encounter within the casino and empowers them to respond appropriately if trafficking activity is suspected.
The “Give $5, Get $10” charitable contribution campaign benefitted CAASE and was available to Bally Rewards members each Monday in January. Players donated to get free play based on Tier:
- Pro: Up to 1x per day – $5 donation for $10 Free Play
- Star: Up to 2x per day – $10 donation for $20 Free Play
- Superstar: Up to 3x per day – $15 donation for $30 Free Play
- Legend: Up to 4x per day – $20 donation for $40 Free Play
Bally’s Chicago Casino and customer donations generated a $5,000 contribution to support CAASE’s work to end all forms of sexual exploitation in Chicago.
