Showboat Resort Atlantic City has appointed Anthony Faranca, an executive with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and casino industry, as general manager.
“Anthony has the experience and qualities that will ensure he is a valuable asset to not only our Showboat family but also the entire community,” Bart Blatstein, owner of Showboat Hotel Atlantic City and CEO of Tower Investments, told WPG Talk Radio.
Faranca’s career in the resort and casino sector is marked by senior positions across various states, including Maryland, Nevada, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He began working in Atlantic City as a guest services manager. His previous roles include regional vice president of national casino marketing at four Caesars Atlantic City properties, vice president and general manager at Parx Casino and vice president and general manager at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Faranca also managed Live! Casino in Hanover, Md., where he navigated the facility through the COVID-19 pandemic, launched a retail sportsbook and opened a 5,000-seat event center.
Most recently, Faranca was president of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, where he was responsible for overseeing all operations, including the management of the 7,000-seat Mark G. Etess Arena – Event Center.
