Arizona: Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise names James O’Kimosh as General Manager

The Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise on Monday announced James O’Kimosh will serve as General Manager, overseeing Desert Diamond Casino Tucson, Desert Diamond Casino Sahuarita, and Desert Diamond Casino Why, all in Southern Arizona.

O’Kimosh, who previously served as Desert Diamond Casino Southern Arizona Slot Director since 2019, is a member of Menominee and Arikara heritage and was born and raised on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, Wisconsin. He has spent his professional career developing a leadership portfolio.

“We are excited to welcome James to the position of General Manager for our three Southern Arizona casinos,” Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise CEO Daniele Chilton said in a statement. “During his time at the Enterprise, James has demonstrated a distinguished track record of strong leadership, operational excellence, and strategic vision that will play a key role in continuing to grow our Southern Arizona properties.”

O’Kimosh has a background in education, serving as a math and computer science teacher and as a college professor of information technology. He also has held executive-level positions in the gaming industry as information technology director, project manager, casino general manager, and slot director.
