Aries Technology has integrated beloved amusement games into Class II slot machines, captivating a fresh wave of players in casinos worldwide.

Aries executives said the company has revolutionized gaming by transforming global-favorite coin pusher and  claw machines into slot experiences. Their patented innovations have not only attracted a new player demographic, but also significantly enhanced game performance, executives said.

According to a report by Eilers, these games initially perform between four and seven times the house average for slots, stabilizing to two to three times after nine months to a year.

“Aries is a small company doing monumental things. The innovation happening at Aries is groundbreaking and casino operators are embracing the product,” said Charlie Lombardo, gaming consultant and inductee into Eiler’s Slot Hall of Fame.

John Vallejo, senior vice president of gaming development at Aries, said the company has had success in a niche where many others have failed. “Aries was the pioneer in converting arcade and skill-based games into slot machines.”

Currently, Aries games are operational in nine states, including California, Washington, Oklahoma, Michigan, Montana, Wisconsin, Louisiana, and Kansas.

“We’re gaining visibility with every market we enter,” said Jason Cole, vice president of research and development.

Aries currently offers one claw machine as a redemption center and four coin-pusher themes with varying bet values. They’re also developing a new generation of claw and coin-pusher games slated for release by year’s end.

Looking ahead, Aries aims to have these products approved for the Class III commercial marketplace by late 2025 or early 2026.

Vallejo explained the mechanics behind their coin-pusher game.

“Players earn tokens as they wager, using a joystick to strategically launch tokens into the play field to win prize chips,” Vallejo said. “Our games feature popular bonuses such as wheels with dollar values, hold-and-spin functions, and the crowd-favorite rapid-fire bonus.”

Vallejo cited the transformative impact of Aries’s games, noting a notable influx of players in their 40s, with a higher male representation compared to traditional slots.

“Our games also enhance the social aspect of gaming, drawing in demographics previously untapped,” Vallejo said. “Aries Technology has proven to shift industry demographics, attracting a new and unique player base. This success underscores the effectiveness of our skill-based components, separate from traditional gameplay.”

During rollout, average seat time has soared to 90 minutes to two hours, with one casino witnessing nearly 400 new players joining their slot database within the first 100 days of introducing Aries games.

“Our product roadmap is unparalleled, fortified by patented technology that secures our market position,” Cole said. “The barriers to entry are formidable in this niche, given our years of meticulous development.”

Aries is headquartered in Las Vegas with an assembly facility in Oklahoma.
