Wynn Resorts promoted Craig Billings to president of the casino company, in addition to his role as chief financial officer. The announcement was made Tuesday in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Billings, 46, has served as CFO since March 2017.
When Matt Maddox took over as Wynn’s CEO last year, he gave up the title of president. Billings now fills that position.
In the filing, the company said Billings’ annual salary would increase from $875,000 to $1.2 million.
Billings had been a gaming industry independent advisor and investor for two years before joining Wynn. For five years, Billings held senior management positions with slot machine developer Aristocrat Leisure. He also worked in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in both New York and London, covering the gaming industry.
From 2015 to 2018, Billings served as director and non-executive chairman of NYX Gaming Group, which was acquired by Scientific Games.
Wynn Resorts is opening the $2.6 billion Encore Boston Harbor later this month in Massachusetts.
