Women of Inspiration Las Vegas celebration scheduled for November 1

Women in Sports & Events this week announced the Las Vegas Women of Inspiration celebration. Scheduled for November 1 at 6 p.m., the event will take place at the Las Vegas Aces headquarters.

“We are currently living through a golden age of sports in the City of Las Vegas with the influx of professional teams and special events,” said WISE Las Vegas President Bronwen Gregg in a statement. “With our city now being called America’s sports capital there couldn’t be a better time to celebrate and recognize the women who have been catalysts for this growth and innovation.”

The event celebrates female senior leaders in sports and events who have had inspiring career paths by breaking barriers and driving equitable change. According to organizers, the honorees exemplify the spirit of the WISE Las Vegas mission while serving as encouraging role models, uplifting mentors, and having positive impacts on their industry/community.

 The Women of Inspiration 2024 honorees are:

  • Woman of Inspiration in Sports: Las Vegas Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan
  • Connecting Gaming & Sports: Aristocrat Gaming Director of Global Games Lauren O’Brien
  • Woman of Inspiration in Hospitality: Caesars Entertainment Board Member/University of Nevada, Las Vegas Black Fire Leadership Executive Director Jan Jones Blackhurst
  • Woman of Inspiration in Sports Events: Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority Vice President of Sports & Special Events Lisa Motley
  • Woman of Inspiration to Watch: Her Competitive Advantage CEO & Founder Stephanie Barrett
  • Women of Inspiration of the Year: Las Vegas Aces organization

There will be a catered cocktail reception by Honey Salt and Iowa Legendary Rye, with entertainment by DJ Demi Lobo, singer and musician Stephani Parker, event emcee Roqui Theus and red-carpet host, Jennifer ‘JayBee’ Beasley.

Honorees will be recognized in an awards presentation on a stage on the Las Vegas Aces practice court, followed by a networking reception including the opportunity to shoot hoops.
