In September 2021, the Snoqualmie Tribe in Washington State opened the state’s first sportsbook at its casino about 30 minutes from Seattle.

Now Snoqualmie Casino is the first gaming site in the state to offer on-premises mobile sports betting. GeoComply Monday announced that the Snoqualmie Casino will use the Vancouver, Canada-based company’s PinPoint on-property geofencing solution to enable mobile sports betting for its sportsbook powered by IGT.

“To permit patrons to wager from within the Snoqualmie Casino and its immediate surroundings, while excluding areas like their convenience store, is a complex geolocation requirement that is made possible by our PinPoint technology,” said PinPoint General Manager Sam Basile in a statement. “We are excited to be part of this new chapter of gaming in Washington State.”

PinPoint allows guests at the Snoqualmie property to use their mobile devices to place wagers instead of standing in line at kiosks or terminals. This option also makes in-play betting possible.

Using proprietary technology, PinPoint Bluetooth beacons also create an effective indoor geofence enabling guests to place bets on their mobile devices while remaining compliant with the Snoqualmie state compact.

“We look forward to introducing the convenience and enhanced user offering of mobile sports betting as the newest addition to our resort guest experience,” Snoqualmie Casino CEO and President Stanford Le said in a statement.
