During February, its first full month of sports betting, Vermont’s three online sportsbooks, FanDuel, DraftKings, and Fanatics, raked in a handle of $21.2 million, up from the $19.9 million reported in January, the Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery has reported.

While there were eight fewer days of legal sports betting in Vermont in January, as sports wagering launched on Jan. 11, adjusted revenue fell in February. The state revealed adjusted revenue of $2.3 million, down from the $3.5 million reported in January. In addition, sports betting didn’t bring in as much for the government, with a revenue share of $731,874, compared to $1.1 million the month prior.

Basketball accounted for almost 45 percent of all wagers, bringing in more than $9.5 million. The tennis handle reached $2.2 million, while football collected $1.7 million. The revenue report also reveals statistics on in-state versus out-of-state bettors. A total of 797,187 bets came from in-state residents, while 194,029 were from people outside of the state. The in-state handle reached $14.5 million, while out-of-state bettors made $6.7 million.

In March, Vermont joined several other U.S. states in banning player prop bets on college sports, following a request from the NCAA.
