Synergy Blue will debut 15 new skill-based arcade-style gambling games at the Global Gaming Expo.
The new games will showcase multiple gaming styles including touch screen, multiplayer, joystick, trackball, gun, and driving-style play.
Synergy Blue CEO Georg Washington said casinos need to continually increase their revenue and have done so traditionally by increasing the number of customers, either via tapping into new demographics and by providing new entertainment options – games, slots, skill-based games – or by increasing the hold.
There are massive opportunities for casinos to create, develop, and explore new revenue streams that haven’t even been thought of, Washington said. The way that Synergy Blue is helping with casinos achieve their goals is by providing a large library of games, “something for everyone,” he said.
“Traditionally (casinos) tried to increase revenue by the same old stuff – change out the slot machines, bring more users in or increase the hold,” Washington. “We’re trying to bring in a new demographic by using our arcade-style gambling machines.”
Synergy Blue has even announced an agreement to convert Orbital Knight’s mobile games to skill-based arcade games, providing them with expanded game distribution in the casino world via Synergy Blue’s HAWG (Hybrid Arcade Wager-based Gaming) platform that helps make conversion of any game easy, Washington said. Four games will be showcased at G2E.
Synergy Blue’s HAWG platform is a class III certified solution that blends GLI11-compliant skill-based or chance-based gambling, allowing for regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions, making it easy to convert mobile games to gambling games, Washington said.
Synergy Blue will add gambling elements and shepherd Orbital Knight’s games through the regulatory process, allowing Orbital Knight to focus on doing what they do best — making fun games, Washington said.
“Synergy Blue made it easy for our games to be showcased on a new platform, in a new industry, delivering new revenue streams and broadening our reach and awareness,” said Karol Drzymała, founder and general manager of Orbital Knight, a Polish independent game studio founded in 2012.
Orbital Knight has a user base of more than 16 million and is known for games like Kickerinho, Star Horizon, and Candy Patrol.
“We wanted to show with Orbital Knight that we are capable of integrating with other developers,” Washington said. “They get a new revenue stream that they thought they would never get, and we get the benefit of having another product to show to our customers.”
Synergy Blue, which was founded in 2013 and based in Palm Desert, Calif., has its own in-house game development studio, and HAWG and its games are meant to appeal to a new generation of gamers and gamblers, providing an engaging gambling experience with seamless arcade-style entertainment, taking the games directly to casino floors across the globe, Washington said.
From westerns to driving games, and skill-based twists on classics like Mahjong and Poker, Washington said Synergy Blue’s game library continues to deliver innovative and entertaining fun for everyone.
From a year ago, the platform evolved and the style of games changed, Washington said. There are multiple ways of doing the math and gambling mechanics to show a variety of what works for the casino.
“We now have joystick games and trackball games and button games,” Washington. “We’re trying to make it an easier barrier of entry for all our games. We’re turning those games into arcade-style games.”
