Station Casinos is seeking to further expand its presense among local players in the Las Vegas market, through its forthcoming StationPlay social gaming application. The application seeks to build out the company’s online presence by leveraging its industry-leading Boarding Pass rewards program.

The free gaming application is scheduled to be rolled out in the second quarter of 2017. It will offer players the chance to play their favorite games online while earning rewards points which can be redeemed at any of the twenty Station Casinos properties in the Las Vegas region.

To develop the platform, Station Casinos – which is owned by Red Rock Resorts – teamed up with the UK-based developer and software supplier GAN. The application will offer hundreds of slot, table game, poker and other games to users via both mobile devices and desktop computers.

StationPlay will be linked to Boarding Pass through the My Rewards program – rolled out in November 2016 – that allows members to earn rewards points for spending on gaming and non-gaming amenities.

“StationPlay will provide another great benefit to our Boarding Pass members by allowing them the ability to earn Boarding Pass points through a custom, free-play social gaming experience while at home or on the go,” said Staci Alonso, Executive Vice President of Innovation and Administration for Station Casinos.

Marc Falcone, chief financial officer, said on the company’s fourth quarter earnings call this week that StationPlay will further engage the company’s customers in the fast-growing Las Vegas market.

“We believe Station Play is an important improvement engagement tool that extends the guest relationship into the online channel,” he said. “Over time, it’s expected to increase our share of wallet and to reactivate guests who are not active in our database, ultimately, driving more guest visits, time on device, and spend.”

StationPlay will further add to GAN’s portfolio of social gaming applications in the United States. In 2016, GAN launched a social gaming ventures on behalf of Isle of Capri and the Borgata. It has also undertaken other simulated gaming projects with Indian tribes.

“We are very pleased to be working with Station Casinos on this state-of-the art social gaming application,” said Dermot Smurfit, Chief Executive Officer of GAN. “StationPlay will provide the most authentic gaming offerings available online, designed to bring the thrill of the casino home, while offering guests the same level of superior experience online as you would find at any of Station Casinos’ properties.”
