Simplebet Tuesday announced it has reached a multi-year agreement with DraftKings to offer in-game micro-betting. The integration of Simplebet’s technology will allow DraftKings’ customers to wager on play-by-play action, such as pitch-by-pitch outcomes in baseball.
“These types of offerings represent the next evolution of sports betting and deliver enhanced opportunities for operators and fans,” said Simplebet CEO Chris Bevilacqua in a statement.
Per the agreement, DraftKings will post Simplebet’s micro-betting products for the NFL, MLB, NBA; its college football suite represents the first micro-betting available for collegiate sports.
Earlier this year, Simplebet announced the completion of a $15 million financing round, bringing its total funding to $50 million. The new money is being used to enhance the company’s existing NFL, MLB, and NBA products by adding dozens of derivative micro-markets. Simplebets is also launching new sports and introducing new subcategories of micro-markets such as Scripts, expanding engineering resources that allow efficient customer integrations, and other strategic opportunities.
“Working with Simplebet changes the in-game betting experience for our customers and the way fans engage with their favorite sports,” said DraftKings President, Global Product and Technology, Paul Liberman in a statement. “Through our shared commitment to delivering innovative technology, our customers are now able to take part in this unique betting and engagement experience on the DraftKings Sportsbook.”
