Sightline Payments Thursday announced two new hires.

Shannon Nadeau is the new Director of Regulatory and Licensing Compliance and Larry Whelan has been appointed Director of Risk for the Las Vegas-based payments technology provider.

“The additions of Shannon Nadeau and Larry Whelan further bolster Sightline’s best-in-class efforts across risk, compliance, and licensing,” said Sightline Chief Legal Officer Jennifer Carleton in a statement. “Their decades of gaming compliance enhances Sightline’s continued ability to offer payments innovations safely and securely.”

Nadeau, who most recently worked as Wynn Resorts’ Executive Director of Global Compliance, will oversee licensing efforts as Sightlines expands into new markets. She began her career with the Nevada Gaming Control Board and has worked in compliance for IGT and Shuffle Master.

Nadeau is a Certified Compliance & Ethical Professional as issued by the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics.

“As digital payment options become more prevalent in U.S. casinos, we must ensure regulators understand how payments fit within the broader gaming industry,” Nadeau said in a statement. “I’m excited to join the Sightline team and their expanding team of experts from across the gaming and payments industries.”

Most recently as Interblock Gaming Vice President of Compliance, Whelan has also worked in leadership roles for Wynn Resorts, Penn National Gaming, Station Casinos, Caesars, and MGM Resorts International. Whelan will oversee Sightline’s risk management division, anti-money laundering efforts, and fraud prevention activities and be responsible for monitoring the transactions that occur annually across the company’s more than 1.5 million cardholders

“I’ve seen firsthand how Sightline’s innovations have modernized payments within the gaming industry, and I’m thrilled to play an integral role in helping the company grow,” Whelan said in a statement. “I now enjoy a 360-degree view of risk and anti-money laundering in gaming, from the operator through the platform to the supplier.”
