SBC Summit North America Thursday announced the release of an app that will enhance “matchmaking” at the event scheduled for May 9-11 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in New Jersey.

SBC Connect Plus, using artificial intelligence, will enable attendees to update profiles and preferences via algorithms that will provide curated meeting suggestions based on attendees’ interests and preferences and foster meaningful business connections.

“As the rise of AI continues its unstoppable trajectory, we are committed to embracing and leveraging its potential to benefit our attendees,” said SBC Chief Growth Officer Michael Mandl in a statement. “To that end, we are launching an enhanced version of our event app that will streamline the process of identifying relevant leads based on attendees’ areas of interest, along with other perks.”

Registered attendees will receive a personalized invitation to use the event app. App users will be able to search companies, people, and products, and identify ideal business partners that align with their specific needs.

“While AI is undoubtedly powerful, it still relies on people’s input to fulfill its purpose,” Mandl said “It’s crucial to provide the app with the necessary information to help it excel in its matchmaking endeavors.”

Exhibitors and sponsors will be granted exclusive early access to SBC Connect Plus to allow updates of company information with branding elements and documents including company brochures. App users will be able to add products and services supported by video materials, descriptions, and product category tags. Exhibiting companies also will receive exclusive access to an on-site lead retrieval tool, enabling them to scan attendee badges and use AI-powered scoring to assess the quality of leads.
