Rhode Island casino revenue up 5.8% year-on-year in January

Casino revenue for Rhode Island’s two land-based casinos, Bally’s Twin River Casino and Bally’s Tiverton Casino, totaled $54 million in January, up 5.8% from $51 million reported the previous year.

The Rhode Island Lottery reported that video lottery terminals generated $42.1 million in revenue, up from $39.3 million year-over-year, and table games generated $11.8 million, up slightly from $11.7 million in January 2024.

Bally’s Twin River Casino yielded the highest casino revenue last month, with video lottery terminals generating $31.5 million and table games generating $9.7 million. Bally’s Tiverton Casino produced $10.6 million in VLT revenue and $2 million for table games.

Online casino revenue yielded revenue of $3.1 million, a month-over-month decline from $3.6 million. Total wagers rose, however, from $97.2 million reported in December 2024 to $103.5 million, and prizes increased from $93.5 million to $100.4 million month-over-month.

Islots generated $2.4 million in revenue last month, down from $2.5 million reported the previous year, and itables produced $729,834, down from the $1.2 million in December.

Combined sportsbooks generated mor than $5 million in January, up from the $4.9 million last year. Wagers yielded $47.3 million, up $44.8 million year-over-year, and payouts totaled $42.2 million, up from $39.8 million in January 2024.
